BCF has 4 meeting times—read on!
First service — Thursday 7:00 pm
Thursday Night Church. This is Church for those who...
a) find it difficult to get to a church meeting on Sundays or
b) need to be elsewhere on the Sunday for whatever reason
c) find that 'middle of the road' music has shifted too far to the right.
Here the music is rather conventional. We love a hymn or two and singable choruses. It is good old fashioned praise and worship with times of powerful singing in the Spirit.
This is church—not a home fellowship. We have communion each week and a message from God's Word of either teaching or preaching. Supper afterwards helps us to have some relaxed social time.
Second service—Sunday 8:30 am
For those who like to worship in a more conservative way, and who enjoy the greater fellowship opportunities that a smaller congregation offers, then the 8:30 service is the ideal choice. With a traditional Pentecostal feel, including singing some hymns and scripture choruses, the early service is very different in flavour and focus to the other Sunday meetings at BCF.
Pastor Frank Russell is in charge of the “early birds”. They are a happy group who love this form of service. Essential to the programme is a warm cuppa in the kitchen afterwards! Pastor Frank and his gifted wife Kathy are greatly appreciated by this group.
Third service—Sunday 10:30 am
A family service - not too fast; not too slow; “middle of the road” music and worship. We have communion most Sundays. There is preaching and teaching by a variety of speakers—our own pastors and visiting speakers. This service has crèche and kids’ church running concurrently. The age range attending at 10:30 am is from babies to a 91 year old!
Fourth service—Sunday 7:00 pm
Contemporary! Noisy! Youthy! This meeting is geared to the younger section of the church. They love the latest Planet Shakers and Hillsongs music. Short relevant sermons, well-illustrated and with one or two main thoughts are welcome. Older people also come along, to support the Youth and Young Adults. Pastor Phil Tong heads up this service.

Choruses from the eighties & nineties? Try Thursday 7pm.
Choruses mostly from the 21 century? Try Sunday 10:30am.
The latest in contemporary music? Try Sundays 7pm
Of course, it’s not quite as predictable as this—just a general overview of the usual styles at the various meetings!
