 
Ballarat Christian Fellowship was started on 14th January 1981 by Pastor Tony Smits as a new church plant of the CRC Churches International.
By December 1981 there were 117 regular attenders. The fledgling church purchased the old Congregational church on the corner or Mair and Dawson Streets on December 22nd 1981.
Pastor Tony Smits felt God was calling him away from leading a local church to more of an apostolic ministry – planting churches, overseeing existing groups, training leaders and mentoring. He asked Pastor Rob Bailey to take the leadership of BCF, which happened in 1997.
Ballarat Christian Fellowship now has four different congregations - three meeting on Sunday and one on Thursday night. Each of these meetings cater for a different demographic, so we are a diverse church, meeting a wide variety of needs. |
